French premium cookware brand Cristel is marking its bicentennial with the launch of the 1826 Bicentennial Limited-Edition Collection, celebrating two centuries of French manufacturing and craftsmanship
Available for a limited time, the four-piece capsule collection takes inspiration from the tapered silhouette of the historic saucepan first produced at Cristel’s Fesches-le-Châtel factory in 1826.
The heritage-inspired design is combined with the contemporary performance and functionality for which the brand is known, with distinctive antique brass handles, side handles and lid knobs adding a modern take on the company’s industrial heritage.
The collection comprises a saucepan, stewpot with lid, stainless steel frying pan and glass lid, alongside a trio of smaller-format mini frying pan, stewpan and saucepan pieces.
The Bicentennial Collection is a celebration of where we came from, but also of where we are going. For 200 years, this site has been a place of innovation and craftsmanship.
Julien Djadane, Managing Director–North America at Cristel
Cristel’s story began in France’s Franche-Comté region in 1826, with its Fesches-le-Châtel factory remaining at the heart of the business today. Three generations currently work alongside one another, while more than 90% of the value of Cristel’s products is realised on-site.
The company holds both the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) label and Origine France Garantie certification, and its products are now sold in approximately 50 countries.
The 1826 Bicentennial Limited-Edition Collection is available for a limited time through Cristel and selected retailers.
