A new independent, community-led forum has launched to connect and support LGBTQIA+ people and allies across the foodservice industry, with a focus on building a more inclusive working environment
The Foodservice LGBTQIA+ & Allies Forum is inviting individuals, employers and organisations to help shape its priorities, activities and future direction through a short online questionnaire.
Founding Chair Radford Chancellor said: “By bringing LGBTQIA+ people and allies together, we can build connections, offer practical support and educate our industry to foster greater understanding and a genuine sense of belonging.”
The Forum’s work will focus on three areas: Connect, creating opportunities to build relationships and share experiences; Support, providing practical resources and signposting; and Champion, increasing visibility, encouraging allyship and celebrating progress.
Membership will be free, with LGBTQIA+ people at the heart of the initiative and allies welcomed as active participants. The Forum is supported by the Foodservice Equipment Association (FEA) and the Catering Equipment Distributors Association (CEDA).
Industry professionals are invited to complete the questionnaire to help shape the Forum’s first-year programme and longer-term development. Respondents can also register their interest in future events, volunteering and collaboration.
Members of the Founding Board will introduce the initiative at the FEA Industry Conference on 19th November 2026 at Staverton Park Hotel & Golf Club, Daventry.
