US cutlery maker Steelport Knife Co. has launched a new Carving Set, combining a 9-inch carving knife and substantial carving fork in an American walnut presentation box
Designed for carving and serving roasts, turkey, brisket, ham and other large cuts, the set is intended to bring the brand’s focus on handcrafted, heirloom-quality cutlery to the dining table.
The carving fork is made from American 4100 series alloy steel and features an extra-thick ¼-inch construction, with tapered, resharpenable points designed to provide stability when handling large cuts of meat.
The 9-inch carving knife is drop-forged from 52100 carbon steel and features Steelport’s differential heat treatment, with the cutting edge reaching 65 HRC. Both pieces have Oregon Big Leaf Maple Burl handles, which are resin-stabilised and shaped by hand.
The set is presented in an American walnut box, with optional custom engraving available for gifting and special occasions.
Handcrafted in Portland, Oregon, the Steelport Carving Set is priced at $740 and is available to order now through the brand’s website, factory store and selected culinary retailers in the US.
Steelport says the set joins its existing collection of handcrafted kitchen knives and kitchen tools, with all its knives backed by a lifetime warranty and free sharpening for life.
