Show Review: Exclusively 2019

Delivering 32 brand-new exhibitors, along with trend displays and tours and new food trend talks from the food people, the Exclusively Shows, June 11-12, in London, delivered the latest and greatest in the industry

The UK’s premier showcase of housewares, tabletop and small domestic appliance brands, Exclusively Housewares and Exclusively Electrical, returned to the London stage, from June 11-12, welcoming everyone from high street independents and etailers, to garden centres, department stores and supermarkets.

Delivering more than 275 brands on show, including 32 new exhibitors, Exclusively Electrical welcomed six new exhibitors, including SodaSteam, Connect/Samsung and Ritterwerk, while among the 26 new Exclusively Housewares exhibitors were Barista, De Buyer, Dexam, Mepal, Amefa and Captivate Brands, with KitchenCraft returning after a hiatus.

In addition to exhibitors, there were trend displays, talks and tours from trend agency Scarlet Opus. The trend consultancy provided visitors with invaluable insight into trends, which are set to influence the housewares sector over the next few seasons.

The Trend Display, in the trend hub, identified three consumer and design trends for 2020: the Traveller trend; Fellowship trend; and Satori trend; while the trend tours pointed out Recommended on-trend products throughout the show, with a Recommended on Trend Product Award, which was new this year. Finally, there were two trend talks each day.

For the 2019 show, Exclusively launched a new initiative with global food trend spotters, the food people, who shared the most relevant food and drink future trends, with food trend talks from speaker Charles Banks taking place at 11.15am each day in the trend hub.

Also new, the Exclusively Gift initiative delivered Gift vouchers to bira retail members, registered to attend the show, offering real benefits for exhibitors.

And the Brand Showcase returned again, giving exhibitors the chance to get their products in front of top journalists, influencers and bloggers.
